Germany Under German law, everybody studying at a state-recognised college or university is required to take out health insurance. You will need to buy OSHC before you come to Australia to cover you from when you arrive. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship requires you to maintain OSHC for the duration of your time on a student visa in Australia. You might find that your institution has an agreement with a specific OSHC provider. You can choose to take out OSHC with this provider, or with the Australian OSHC provider of your choice. USA ISO, International Student Organization, is a principal provider of international student health insurance and the sole provider of ISO health insurance plans: ISO COMPASS insurance, COMPASS Gold Insurance, COMPASS Silver, COMPASS Platinum, ISO Med 1 and ISO Med 2 health insurance for international students. ISO student insurance plans are underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company. Malaysia It is compulsory for all international students to purchase an annual medical insurance, which must be renewed yearly during their stay at Malaysia. Student Pass will not be extended unless medical insurance has been purchased and tuition fees have been paid.
